We are lovers of frenchies! We fell in love with the breed after raising dogs for over 25 years when we adopted the first addition to our frenchie family, Bella. We made the decision to make her part of our lives when Tom was in an accident that left him with a shattered pelvis, broken wrist and elbow, and a long road to recovery. After searching for the right companion (and essentially therapy dog) for him to help him deal with the mental and emotional side of recovery, we found Bella and she took to him instantly. They formed a deep bond as she lay by his hospital bed in our house day after long day. She walked slowly along with his wheelchair, walker, then cane, as he gradually put more and more weight on his leg. As he fully recovered, she became his shadow and sidekick around the farm, riding in the truck (passenger seat of course) and accompanying him while doing chores. She was a loyal, loving dog and earned her nickname of “Queen Bella!”
Bella passed away a few weeks ago, and her loss has been hard on everyone that knew her. We loved her for being a great dog and friend but also for introducing us to the amazing personalities and loving dispositions of the French bulldog breed. Thank you, Bella, for everything you started and for everything you gave to us. We love you and will always have you in our hearts.
